Join Boomtown barista Kyle VanDevender as he takes you through a guided tasting of one of our new monthly featured coffees: the Colombian Finca Sausalito. The tasting will feature three different coffee preparations selected by Kyle to demonstrate how the coffee changes when extracted through different methods and showcase the full spectrum of flavors found in the beans. Come prepared drink some coffee, and hopefully you can leave slightly more educated and caffeinated than when you arrived!
This ticket is good only for the reservation of a seat at the tasting.
How much does the tasting cost? Tasting fee is $36 per person, payable at completion of the tasting event. Tasting fee is discounted by $12 with the purchase of every two bags of retail coffee after the event.
Where does the tasting take place? The tasting will take place at the bar within Boomtown Coffee, towards the rear of our cafe. Due to the nature of the presentation, it cannot be moved to another location within our space.
Can I bring friends? As long as your friend has also reserved a seat! Our bar can only comfortably accomodate four guests, so please make a reservation for as many seats as you plan to fill. If you would like to book the event for more than four people, contact us at email@example.com, and we can discuss special arrangements.
When should I get there? It would be a big help if everyone is in a seat to allow the event to begin promptly at its starting time, so please arrive when you feel comfortable to allow the event to begin as scheduled. If you are too late you may miss the beginning of the presentation, and no one wants that.
How long will the event last? The event will last up to 45 minutes, but guests are invited to sit and enjoy their coffee after the event until the bar needs to be available for a following event or we need to close down the shop.
Can you accomodate guests in a wheelchair? Yes! We can accomodate a single guest in a wheelchair if needed, and we ask that you give us advance notice if you or a companion will be in a wheelchair to be able to prepare appropriately.
Will there be any food at the tasting? Individual presentations may include some small bites, but don't anticipate anything filling or meal-worthy. We recommend planning to eat either before or after the tasting, as certain foods can greatly affect the tasting experience.
