This particular Limu coffee comes from the Qota cooperative located in Agaro, Ethiopia, who have consistently produced some favorite western Ethiopian coffees. They are operating under the Keta Muduga Union, who showed stellar harvest samples from Qota. The Unions provide agronomical sup- port to the coops, and also have export licenses, which has granted the coops access to the global market. - Sweet Maria’s
It’s rare enough around our roastery to hear someone praise a decaffeinated coffee, so when one of our roasters mentioned that he would prefer this decaf over some of our fully caffeinated beans, it warranted a fair amount of disbelief. It may be too good to be true, but it’s hard to deny that the Swiss Water Process has preserved many of the flavors one would expect to find in a traditionally processed Ethiopian heirloom. Browned sugars ranging from caramel to baked bread take the lead in the cup, rounded out by a creamy mix of fruit and chocolate. - Boomtown
