Hacienda Sonora is a farm located in the Central Valley of Costa Rica, at the foot of the world renowned Poas Volcano. Sonora's coffees grow in an environment surrounded by exotic trees and other vegetation, providing a great condition for quality, as well as improving the chemistry of the already naturally rich volcanic soil. The farm specializes in honey and natural process for distinct and unique cup profiles. - InterAmerican

The Sonora Bourbon comes from the same estate as our perennial Sonora Honey, and while they share the same processing method, they feature different coffee varietals. Bourbon coffee plants (which have nothing to do with the liquor) don’t produce as large of a crop as other varieties, but the extra effort to cultivate them is worth it. The cup presents as classic a coffee profile as you could ask for: dark, dried fruits, an array of nutty flavors, and dark, rich chocolate. - Boomtown

All Boomtown Coffee® is 100% natural, free of artificial flavors or additives.  All of our tasting notes are a result of a standard SCA cupping guided by a certified Q-grader.  Flavors found in home-brewed coffee are subject to individual taste and brew method.
